Profile

Tony Duquette decorated for Doris Duke, Mary Pickford, and the Duchess of Windsor — and won a Tony Award for set design in 1961. His own Dawnridge house in Beverly Hills was a layered fantasy of malachite, gilt coral, Venetian glass, and Chinese pagodas. Maximalism's patron saint.
